John Chatterley and Warrick Purdie founded Ace Rental Cars in 1987 in Auckland, New Zealand. It was started as a tourist rental service, known as Ace Tourist Rentals Ltd. At the time of the car rental pick-up, you need to provide a valid Driver’s Licence, credit card in the name of the driver, national ID proof and the Rental Confirmation Voucher. If you are from a different country then keep an International Driving Permit (IDP) if your DL is not in Roman alphabet. A passport may also be required.
The minimum age requirement to rent a car with Ace Rental Cars is 18 years. The age requirements can vary for the larger vehicle groups. For drivers aged between 18-24, a Young Driver Surcharge will be applied.
A credit card will be asked by the supplier’s associate at the time of pick-up. The credit card has to be in the driver’s name. It is required to hold a security deposit at the rental desk, which is refunded after the rental is complete.
