Europcar’s preferred payment method like most rental suppliers is a credit card. The renter must ensure the account holds sufficient funds for the deposit to be charged at the rental desk. Refer to the Rental Terms section for more information about the rental deposit.
To rent a car with Europcar in New Zealand the minimum car hire age is 21 years for the majority of vehicle classes. Renters under 25 are usually charged a ‘Young Driver Fee’ for hiring luxury/premium cars. You can find more details about the age restrictions by referring to ‘Rental Terms’.
While picking up your car hire from the supplier’s branch in New Zealand you will be required to bring a valid driver’s license, ID proof, and the Rental Confirmation Voucher. Additionally, foreign renters will be required to present an International Driving Permit (IDP) if their driver’s license is not in the Latin alphabet.
